Thank you so much for leaving a wonderful comment on the blog. You could also use a tin core wick instead of wick, people have also used a lead core, but there are some hazards that come along with using lead, so I try and stay away from them.  The point is that your wick needs to be rigid to be able to stand up in the gel mixture.

Gel can be made in any size container, but the wick of course will have to reach from the top to the bottom, so you are only limited by the size of your wicks length.

i also make candles..and trying to set up a small business of it..
living in India, i have no access to zinc core wicks...can you suggest any other substitute? also how huge (or tall, etc.)  can one actually make a gel candle with that kind of substitute wick?
am looking forward to your guidance.
